If you are what you should be,you will set the whole world on fire.
- St. Catherine of Siena.
We are Catholic members of an international Order of Preachers (O.P.), known also as the Dominicans after our founder, St. Dominic of Guzman.
Very early in the foundations of the Order, lay people associated themselves with the friars and they became the "third order of penance". Later they came to be called "Secular Third Order of St. Dominic" and finally "Dominican Laity."
We are called Lay Dominicans because we are a diverse group of ordinary people living ordinary lives who strengthen our faith life by a formal commitment to regular prayer, study, meeting and sharing our faith with others.
We feel called to a deeper relationship of love and service to God. We are members of the Dominican Order, who commit to live the Dominican charism as lay people.
In collaboration with the Dominican Family, we work to promote social justice and peace in society.
Supported by prayer, study, community and ministry, we fulfill our vocation to
proclaim the Gospel wherever we, as individuals, live and work.
TO PRAISE, TO BLESS, TO PREACH...
We also have members who are not close to a meeting place but are in contact
on an ongoing basis. This site is one of many ways we keep in contact.
If any Catholic faithful is interested in joining us, contact as at
